wicks moisture away to keep feet warm. wear under wool or wool blend socks just remember dont by winter socks that have any or are cotton ….COTTON = COLD FEET
Im on my feet all day outside stuffed in heavy boots. These are comfortable, keep my feet cool, and dont bind or bunch at the ball or the heel. I am picking up some more.
I received these quickly (from the US to Kabul in about a week). The army-issue boot socks are insufficient to keep feet warm (because they cause feet to sweat). Enter the Carhartt sock liners: they do a fantsastic job of wicking away moisture in order to help keep feet warm. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a good way to keep your feet warm while wearing boots.
Work pretty good as a base layer sock, wicks moisture very well. Overall i would suggest these with a heavy wool sock for someone going inside then outside and changing temperatures and activity levels during the day.
I have chronic cold feet and cannot wear cotton. These have no cotton and wick away moisture to keep your feet dry. Dry=warm. I wear them under wool socks. Keep my feet warm in sub-zero weather. Great product, Carhartt knows outdoors.
My husband complained daily about cold feet. we tried sock after sock with no luck. With the cold, snowy weather and working outdoors in MD he thought he was destined to freeze. I ordered these as a last ditch effort as he just looked at me like I was insane. They got here and honestly look and feel a lot like men’s dress socks o he was very skeptical. But gave them a try to shut me up. Lets just say he hasn’t complained of cold feet since and if I forget to lay a pair out he wants to know where they are! Will definitely be picking up more for next winter. Well worth the cost.
We are keeping our heat pretty low so got these to wear under heavier socks. They are working quite well. They are nice and snug and seem to be doing the job. When I wear the heavy ones by themselves, my feet get too cold. These seem to keep the heat in.
These are well made, but they’re basically just a standard synthetic liner sock, nothing special. They wick adequately, I guess, but don’t expect any miracles. They’re not especially comfortable when you first put them on — the fabric sort of digs into your skin a little bit. Fortunately, that feeling goes away after you’ve worn them with a thick pair of wool socks for an hour or so.
These add just enough extra volume to the size of my feet so as to make it difficult to squeeze into my work boots (when worn with a pair of thick wool oversocks). This actually seems to make my feet colder, not warmer, as there’s less dead air space in my boot. You have to have some dead air pockets in there or else the cold will just sink through your boot. You also have to have blood flowing down to your feet, and I wonder if these constrictive socks don’t actually reduce my circulation to my extremities.
If I were shopping for another liner sock, I’d probably want to get something with more silk and or rayon in the blend. Something softer and more comfortable (and inevitably less durable).
